Salt pots and spoons are a great way to keep salt on the table or near the stove.  I used to have a small bowl on the counter and would just reach in and grab a pinch of salt while cooking.  But, when my hands were greasy or wet, it didn’t seem like a good idea.  Now I can use the spoon.  And, since it holds just about an eighth of a teaspoon, I have a better idea of how much salt I am using.

These spoons are modeled after one that our friend Nan had on her kitchen table. I’m sure it was very old.  The pots are my own design and fit the palm nicely.
